The Association of Foundries and Forges of Slovakia

Profile of Association

Aim of the Association:

The Association has been constituted as a matter of interest of juridical persons working in foundry and forging industrial field in the Slovak Republic. It has got own legal subjectivity and has been set to protect and put members interest through especially in the following fields:

industrial policy
commercial policy
science, research and education
protection of members against inadequate regulation and intervention into their entrepreneurial freedom and against measurements leading to worsening equal rights on market.

The Association puts members` interest through at negotiations with central state bodies in the field of industrial and commercial policy. It is a member of initiative, negotiating and consulting bodies.
The Association coordinates progression and puts common members` interest through in links with representative bodies and with central bodies of state direction and in links with international bodies.

Association’s membership in social organization:

MEGI – Central European Foundry Initiative of Foundry Associations from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Entrepreneurial orientation of the Association and its members:

Production of ferrous castings: nodular cast iron, steel castings, grey cast iron
Production of non ferrous castings: Aluminium-base alloy, Zinc-base alloy, Cooper-base alloy
Production of ferrous metal forgings: hammer forged and die forged
Production of tools: patterns, dies, metallic mould
Production of raw and auxiliary materials and technology equipments
Commercial activities: Supplies of foundry and forging material, aids /tools/ protective aids, foundry technology.
